Although both fully di ff erentiated cells (somatic cells) and stem cells are being used and developed for tissue engineering and regenerative therapy , most of the focus is on the use of stem cells, particularly somatic stem cells (SSCs) and induced pluri - potent stem cells (iPSCs).
