Six Sigma refers to another business performance meth odology that has been adopted for use in health care. The fundamental objective of the Six Sigma methodology is the implementation of a measurement-based strategy that focuses on process impro vement and especially on reducing unnec - essary variation. One of its sub-methodologies is DMAIC Table (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control), which is an impro vement system for existing processes that fall below specification and require incremental improvement.
